How To Iron Patches on Your Denim Tote

1. Choose a Hard, Heat-Safe Surface: Place your tote bag flat on a sturdy surface such as a table or countertop. Avoid ironing on soft or uneven areas, as this will prevent the patch from adhering properly.
2. Position the Patch: Decide where you’d like your patch to go, and place it with the design facing up.

3. Protect the Patch: Lay a thin cloth (like a tea towel or pillowcase) over the patch to prevent direct contact with the iron.

4. Apply Heat: Set your iron to a high heat (cotton/linen) setting with no steam. Press the iron firmly on top of the patch area, and hold it in place for 60+ seconds without moving it around.
5. Flip and Secure (Optional): If needed, turn the tote inside out and repeat the process by pressing the iron firmly on the backside of the fabric where the patch is located. Hold again for 15+ seconds.
6. Check and Reinforce if Needed: Let the tote cool for 1-2 minutes, then check the edges of the patch. If any part is lifting, repeat the ironing process until fully secured.
